Revolab started with a conviction that most AI was built for someone else’s market. Southeast Asia speaks differently, thinks locally, and deserves technology that reflects that. So we built it ourselves.
We Started Because the Gap Was Real
In 2021, a team of AI scientists in Kuala Lumpur looked at the conversational AI landscape and saw the same thing everywhere: technology built for English speakers in markets that looked nothing like their own. The nuance of Manglish was missing. Bahasa was an afterthought. Arabic dialects were barely considered.
So, they built Revolab with a single conviction: that enterprises in Southeast Asia and the Middle East deserve AI that works as well for their customers as it does for customers anywhere else in the world.
From that starting point, Revolab has grown into a team of machine learning engineers, speech scientists, enterprise architects and product specialists, delivering production AI systems for banks, contact centres and enterprises across the region. Our motto has not changed since day one: AI Driven, Solution Centric.

2021
Revolab is founded in Selangor, Malaysia
A team of AI scientists comes together to build conversational AI for Southeast Asia’s underserved language markets. Development begins on proprietary speech and NLP models.
2022
First enterprise deployments and the REVCAF framework
Revolab delivers its first enterprise AI solutions and begins developing REVCAF, the proprietary Conversational AI Framework that would underpin all future products.
2023
Arab Bank partnership and expansion into MENA
Revolab delivers a pioneering AI voice assistant for Arab Bank, the first financial AI of its kind in the Middle East. Fine-tuned Levantine Arabic speech and LLM models are deployed in production.
2024
RevoCall launches and SOC 2 Type I certification achieved
Revolab’s flagship product RevoCall enters the market, targeting enterprise contact centres across SEA. The team achieves SOC 2 Type I certification, alongside GDPR and PDPA compliance.
2025
Top 2 in the Pan-SEA AI Developer Competition, Finance Trak
The Revolab team wins recognition at the Pan-Southeast Asia AI Developer Competition, validating the technical depth of the platform against regional and global competitors.

Our core team is based in the Klang Valley, Malaysia, where we do the model research, product engineering and enterprise integration work that underpins everything we deliver. Being in Kuala Lumpur is intentional. We are close to the markets we serve, the languages we train on and the enterprises that use our products.
We have delivered live deployments across Southeast Asia and the Middle East, working with clients in Malaysia, Indonesia and the MENA region. Our localised models reflect the diversity of the markets we operate in, and our ambition is to expand that coverage as the region’s AI maturity grows.
